We have had a Visitors Book in both cottages for a number of years now and guests are invited to add their comments as they wish. Some entries suggest areas to visit, nice walks and good places to eat. Others comment on the cottages and the time they have had there. Listed here are just a few comments from across the years - they are unsolicited and genuine. Although we have not identified the authors here, if you come to stay you will be able to read them for yourself! "We've had a very peaceful and restful time
here this week. Islay Cottage is very comfortable and we've spent
countless hours just sat in front of the window watching the goings on.
Entertainment has been provided by the heron, curlew, little grebes and
merganzers. We also watched an otter swim across the harbour" " A fabulous week and the weather very kind,
always a bonus. Wildlife plentiful and the scenery stunning. The cottage is well
equipped and we wanted for nothing. Overall a wonderful stay." "Cottage

“Fantastic holiday lots of things to do and see. The cottage
lovely + comfortable, well equipped. Out fishing every night out in the bay
with lovely sunsets every night. The weather was sunny all week but there were
a few showers. We greatly recommend the Sea-fari it’s a once in a lifetime
trip. The Oban Sea Life Centre and Rare Breeds Farm OK.” "Instant

They were
wonderful days here and in the surroundings. We liked the beautiful
countryside, the hills and glens and the nice kindly people. We enjoyed every
place. Special tip, not found in the guide – the little Easdale island – from
here towards Oban A816 – B844 over the famous Altlantic Bridge."

quite outstanding beauty. Particularly enjoyed Kilmartin Glen and Museum,
gardens at Arduaine, and taking the ferry over to Mull and then visiting Torosay.”

a super cottage. Best walk – Craignish Peninsula. Best meal out – dinner at
Loch Melfort Hotel, brilliant food. Best meals in – scallops bought in Tarbert
and langoustines bought from the fishermen on Seil Island."
In many years
experience of self catering this must be rated the best. Nice place – shame
about the weather! However, we all made the most of the visit and fully expect
to return here again.

up the hill have been a treat, and tonight we had blackberries picked on the
causeway
– yum!! Musts to do – Seil and Easdale island (my personal paradise), the Rare
Breeds Park (though watch the goats – they ate my guide book),
Kilmartin, Forest Walks on Castle Sween road. Also recommend the Footwear
Discount Centre in Oban – lovely shoes at lovely prices! Wildlife spotted:
seals (in the harbour), rabbits, heron, assorted gulls, swans, curlew, chough,
merlin, buzzard, willow warbler, cormorants, dragonflies, osprey."
We’ve loved it here – thank
you! Beautiful cottage, lovely scenery and we’ve been blessed with excellent
weather. So much to do – we’ll have to come back to finish it all! We’ve been
to the Highland Games in Oban, and on the ‘Jacobite’ steam train from Fort
William to Mallaig. Over the Glenfinnan Viaduct used in the Harry Potter film.

glass and 50mls of Oban Single Malt. Cover with a generous helping of
setting sun. Leave to stew for approximately half an hour, then
combine with a satisfying dinner, a mid-evening stroll to the shore
and finally fold into a comfortable armchair to bake gently in front
of a crackling fire. Serves one, but will stretch to however many one

has been our first time in Scotland and by happy chance we found our
way here to 'Islay' and the sleepy hamlet of Craobh Haven. We have
been utterly seduced by all three! The temptation has been to drive
hither and thither & do and see all this magical place has to
offer. But alas! Scarcely could be prized out of that pretty bedroom
in the mornings. I have been perfectly content to laze about &
just 'be', soaking up the peace & tranquillity. The best days we
