Jura Cottage is Islay Cottage's more spacious 'twin'. It is fitted
and furnished much like Islay, and to a similar high standard
throughout. As well as having a third bedroom with full size bunk
beds, Jura has more room downstairs and a larger dining area. It is
ideal for a family or group of six, or for young children who may
want more room to play. The kitchen has hand-made wooden units with ample space for food and other kitchen items. It is 'open plan' adjacent to a dining area which looks through to the sitting room and front window views. A window and half-glazed door look to the tree-covered hill to the rear of the cottages. A hand towel, two dish towels, a dish cloth and pan scrubber are all provided. An 'Arrival Pack' of basic provisions can be supplied by request. The inventory includes: |

Dining Area Oval Ducal dining table and six upholstered chairs To the front of the cottage, with windows giving views South across the Sound of Jura and North including the islands of Scarba, Shuna, Luing, and Seil with the mountains of Mull in the distance. On many days throughout the year you can while away the best part of an evening watching the spectacular colours change and fade as the sun slowly sets behind the islands. The sitting area has an open fire set in a local stone surround. The fire burns coal, logs and peat. golden sun slanting in from across the Atlantic, or waking up to see
the herons or swans picking their way along the shoreline.
